Just some random blabbering - Time flies

My 3 months of holidays are coming to an end soon, which also means that school's starting in no time. The upcoming semester definitely poses as a challenge for me, especially since I have to juggle well between excelling in schoolwork, giving private tuitions and pursuing leisure. As the semester progresses, I would be flooded with projects, projects and more projects, reports, reports and more reports. It's a cycle that happens every semester and I guess I am kinda used to it already. ب_ب

So, what have I done during the past 3 months of holidays? A lot. I've been on 3 overseas trips. I've watched 2 concerts. I've taken up several new tuition assignments. I've caught up with several friends whom I haven't met for a period of time. I've popped by Pat's clinic and helped her out as a dental assistant. Life's relaxing yet fulfilling. In fact, I feel that I've made good use of my 3 months of holidays.

Now that the good times are coming to an end, I shall start packing up my holiday mood and prepare for what's waiting for me. I always believe in working hard and playing hard. Life is not about prioritizing work or play. It's about maintaining a balance between the two. When it's time to let your hair down, just do so and indulge in the enjoyment. However, when it's time to get serious, please do, though I admit that occasionally I might be distracted by bits and pieces when supposed to be studying. (◜௰◝) Nonetheless, I still strive and hope to strike a work-life balance. I'm a little looking forward to embark on the start of the new semester actually. Hope it's a smooth sailing one.  Weeeee~

Wilber Pan "Unleashed" World Tour Singapore 2013

Following our previous concert in Genting Highlands, Pat and I went to watch Wilber Pan "Unleashed" World Tour Concert held last Saturday. Pat bought a pair of Cat 2 tickets and treated me to watch the concert together with her. So niceeeee right! Thank you thank you! ♥‿♥

Despite us buying the Cat 2 tickets, we were very near to the extended stage and enjoyed upclose interaction with the singer. Sadly to say, Pat and I weren't really familiar with his songs. But it was still a good and entertaining show. I love the song 二十四個比例 and some other slow songs like 寂寞出租 and 轉機. Hehehe.

PS: Credits to Pat for taking these beautiful photographs.

Wilber's concert lets go!

The Taiwanese singer kick start the concert with the song 'Release Yourself'

I find this effect so cool! Don't you think so? ó‿ó

Fans screaming their lungs out as Wilber bent forward to shake the hands of some lucky fans

Genting Highlands Trip 2013: Rainie Yang Love Voyage Concert 2013

This is my 4th time visiting Genting Highlands. It was a rather different experience as compared to the previous three trips there.

(1) The main reason for the trip was to catch Rainie Yang's concert. (My 3rd time watching her concert)
(2) For the past 3 times, I traveled there via bus and it was a long tortuous 6 hours. I had to wake as early as 5am just to catch the tour bus at 6.30am. This time round, I decided to travel via a different means of transport - plane.
(3) For the past 3 times, I stayed in First World Hotel. However, this time round, I decided to stay in a different hotel, the Theme Park Hotel.

There were a couple of our friends (those staying in Singapore) going over to Genting to catch the concert. Pat took the plane with me, while the rest of our friends took the bus. I've really had enough of those long tortuous bus rides. (×̯×)

We gathered with Shin Jie, Jenny and Peiwen at Genting instead.

Pat and I took AirAsia and it took us a mere hour to reach LCCT. We bought the air tickets at a promotional price of $90 (inclusive of airport taxes) for each return ticket, and were entitled a hand carry luggage allowance of 7kg. It turned out that AirAsia didn't weigh our hand carries. ఠ_ఠ We then transferred to Aerobus which sent us directly to First World Hotel Bus Terminal.

Upon reaching, we checked in at our hotel immediately before finding a place to satisfy our growling stomachs. Overall, all 5 of us (except Pat, because it's her first time here) felt that our rooms in Theme Park Hotel were much much better than those in First World Hotel. After checking in at our hotel, all of us went to HouMei Restaurant for our lunch. Generally, food in Malaysia is cheaper than in Singapore. However, because Genting is a tourist attraction destination, do expect food and entertainment to be marked up to a higher price.

Getting ready to board the plane! Let's go! ●‿●
The hotel lift area
Pat and I stayed in room 10231 while Shin Jie, Jenny and Peiwen stayed in the room opposite ours

Our room - comfortable and decent enough!

The view from our hotel room. As the hotel name suggests, our hotel is situated right beside the outdoor theme park. It is also conveniently near the Arena of Stars, where the concert would be held at! Weeeeee~

A quick shot before we head out for our activities (●⌒∇⌒●)

Just a typical plate of chicken rice. Jenny kept complaining (in a humorous manner though) how expensive this dish was  tiny-smileys-yesemoticons-146
Herbal soup noodle

Tom Yam soup with yellow noodle
HouMei's sugar cane and chestnut drink
The girls wanted to share a plate of bean sprouts. Nothing special about this dish ◔̯◔
Those who had been to Genting Highlands before would have noticed the scale model of the Genting Highlands near the lobby of First World Hotel. I am always very impressed with such models. How could someone be so meticulous enough to construct these models. Thumbs up! (。◕‿◕。)

Anyway, while I was alone taking photo of the model (the rest were at Starbucks), an Indian guy, whom I assume is a tourist too, approached me and asked me to help him take a photo. After helping him, he said that he wanted to take a photograph with me. I was like 'emmmmm okay..' but nonetheless agreed. So I stood beside him and he placed his arm on my shoulders. Then, his friend saw it and wanted to take a photo with me too. .◑ It was rather awkward, and I was hoping that the rest could come and find me. Indeed, Pat saw what was happening and called out for me. Guess what? The Indian guy now wants to take a photo with Pat. LOL HAHA. After taking photo, the Indian guy thanked and kissed Pat on her cheeks. *Jaws drop* We recounted the incident to the rest and all of us ended up laughing because despite it being ridiculous, it was kinda funny too. Pat kept joking that she became the "victim" when she was supposed to be "saving" me. Sorry Pat.. HAHAHAHA!

Arena Of Stars
Shin Jie, Pat and I played a game of the glow in the dark bowling. Loud clubbing music was played in the background as well. It's indeed a different bowling experience ت
The next day, the 5 of us went to play the outdoor theme park. We saw our other friends there, but didn't join them in the games. There wasn't much photos of us playing the theme park though. The 5 of us filled our empty stomach with food from Old Town White Coffee before continuing our theme park expedition.

Our outdoor tickets - $54 RM per pax

The first game we (they) played was the spinner. I decided to give it a miss because previously when I played that, I felt really giddy. So..... I became the photographer. HAHAHAH~ Spot the 4 of them!

Shin Jie.... why that expression? HAHA~ (ღ˘◡˘ღ)

Weeeeee~ Flying flying flying~
Old Town White Coffee's signature dish - Chicken Hor Fun *Oishiiiii* ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

Kaya Toast

Ham & Cheese Burger
Hot Teh Tarik to accompany the cooling weather

Soft boiled eggs

I wanted to try the Flume Ride, but Jenny said that we would be very drenched and might catch a cold. "YES MOM"

True indeed that we would be completely drenched

This is a new ride in the theme park. Try spotting Pat, Shin Jie and me. HAHAHA. We ended up queueing and playing this ride for quite a few times cause its so fun!! The ride starts off by moving forward slowly and then gradually speeding up, revolving around a wavy track at a high speed. It then slows down in a backwards motion before speeding up again

We then went to collect our tickets before heading back to our hotel room to rest. We bought the VIP tickets at RM563, which translates to SGD230

The venue of the concert! Love voyage, let's go!

PS: The following concert photos are taken from the Galaxy Group.

It was quite a pity because I didn't manage to snap any concert photographs because we were not allowed
to bring in our camera. ARGH! >.< Actually I could have illegally brought it in, but it was quite troublesome to hide the camera in the bag. We sat in the fourth row, which was so so so close to the stage! Halfway through the concert, we migrated to the third row because there were some empty seats. Even a better view oh dear!
Needless to say, the concert was just too awesome. In fact, that is such an understatement. It was a full house that night and the atmosphere was JUST TOO GOOD. Too awesome for words. The special guest for that night was Jiro from 飞轮海 and the duo sang a duet as well.

After the concert, all of us (about 10 peeps) dashed our way to her hotel (Genting Grand) to stalk her, hoping to be able to catch another glimpse of her. Crazy fans we are. Hehehe. =^.^= But we got a little lost and in the end we missed her. (╥﹏╥) Jenny, Pat and I decided to hop into the Casino while the rest of them had their supper at Coffee Terrace (mainly because Rainie was in the restaurant too). The three of us had KFC instead. Not because we lost money in the Casino okay. ⊂◉‿◉つ

Basically, that's the end of our Genting Highlands trip, also my third and last trip for the holidays. I had so much fun, too much. Thank you for the awesome peeps, awesome concert and awesome fun.
