HELLO ALL! The mid-autumn festival is just round the corner! (tomorrow to be specific ) This year, mom bought two big boxes of traditional mooncakes from China Angel 安琪. I've never heard of this brand before and so I googled it last night: China Angel is a Shenzhen-based mooncake maker and apparently, it's one of the top few popular brands in China and Hong Kong.
Despite the rise of snowskin mooncakes, jelly mooncakes and mooncakes with exotic fillings, our family still prefers the traditional lotus seed paste ones. I especially love those with the salty duck egg yolks. d(♥‿♥)b Single egg yolk/double egg yolks will do, because you won't want to spend $10 plus eating a mooncake filled mainly with cheap egg yolks right. Hahahaha.
Anyway, when I was a kid, I always look forward to celebrating mid-autumn, though I called it the "mooncake festival" instead. This is because mid-autumn festival means I can get to eat mooncakes and play with candles (the only time in which I am allowed to play with candles ). Now that I'm older, playing with candles no longer interest me that much. However, I still appreciate the tradition of eating mooncakes. (ღ˘◡˘ღ)

That's all for today. Happy mid-autumn everybody!
